You need to apply on the NIMC pre-enrolment portal and follow the instructions listed for applying for your NIN.

To link your NIN to your Mobile Numbers using the NIMC Mobile ID App. You need to apply on the NIMC pre-enrolment portal and follow the instructions listed for applying for your NIN.

To check, link, and retrieve your NIN to your MTN line on your mobile device in Nigeria. *785# is the old MTN code for linking your NIN but mind you that the code for NIN has been changed.

• Dial *996# NIN Number followed by the # key.
• Follow the instructions listed on the screen
• Select “1” to choose NIN retrieval
• This service costs only N20 on your mobile phone network.
• If you do this correctly, the NIN number will be linked automatically to your mobile number.

• You will receive a message saying you have successfully linked NIN to your 9mobile line.

You can also link NIN to the 9Mobile number through website: Visit 9mobile.com.ng/nin. Alternatively, you can dial *2008*# This should automatically link your National Identity Number to your mobile number.
